GINNY’S PADUCAH QUILT SHOW TRIP 2012
American Quilter’s Society Show
April 23-27, 2012

Day One – Monday, April 23rd – We have a 7:30am departure from the Microtel in Rice Lake and a 8:30 pick-up in Eau Claire at the Country Inn. Get to know your partners at coffee and rolls at Perkins in Black River Falls and lunch at Culvers. Afternoon includes a one hour shopping time at the Depot and a break. We’ll arrive in Bloomington, IL at the Country Inn and Suites (309-828-7177) and enjoy a Pizza Party with beverages.

Day Two – Tuesday, April 24th – After breakfast we travel to Arthur, IL where we’ll have coffee and cookies for a break, and have time for shopping in the downtown area for antiques, quilts, Amish crafts and baked goods. Enjoy a step-on guided tour of the Amish countryside and lunch will be served in an Amish home. A mid-afternoon departure will get us to Marion, IL for a 2 night stay at the Country Inn and Suites (618-997-2444).

Day Three- Wednesday, April 25th – It’s off to Paducah and the QUILT SHOW! Spend the whole day at the show and then enjoy a restful dinner at the Whale’s Catch Fish House. After dinner there is time to stop at the Quilt Shop before retiring to our hotel.

Day Four – Thursday – April 26th – We still have time to explore what we didn’t see yesterday at the show. By 3:00 pm we’ll leave for our evening’s destination, The Comfort Suites (217-342-3151) in Effingham, IL. A delicious dinner will be served at Niemerg’s just across the parking lot from the hotel.

Day Five – Friday, April 27th – After breakfast we’ll depart for home with wonderful memories of our quilting friends. With stops from breaks and lunch, you should arrive back to Eau Claire about 4:30 and Rice Lake about 6:30.
